NOTICE OF FILING
TITLE: Physician- Hospitalist (multiple openings)
Duties: Examine, diagnose, and deliver care to patients requiring procedures and operations involving the endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, liver, and colon, in a hospital setting. Monitor patients conditions and progress to reevaluate treatment as required. Order tests and interpret results incorporating medical histories to assist in diagnosing patients. Prescribe and administer medications or other specialized medical case based as needed and based on test analyses. Clearly communicate diagnoses to patients and their family members. Oversee the operating room, supervising, and coordinating activities of nurses, assistants, specialists, and other medical staff. Conduct research to develop and test medications. Provide treatment to prevent or control disease. These are Internal Medicine hospitalists so they provide medical care within the internal medicine discipline to adult patients. This position requires 15% domestic travel to SMC Church Street campus for Colonoscopy and to Cherokee Medical Center to assist, since other provider left.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
SALARY: $294,840 per year

REQUIREMENTS: Medical Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent degree) and Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Must have an active South Carolina medical license.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:
- Pre-Op Antibiotics;
- DVT Prophylasis; and
- Chart Completion.
