About the position
The physician and provider relations liaison will serve as a liaison between providers and Tidelands Health. Working at the direction of the physician and provider relations manager, the physician and provider relations liaison will execute initiatives to increase preference and loyalty for Tidelands Health among regional providers. The physician and provider relations liaison will support the growth goals of all Tidelands Health services, including but not limited to oncology, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics and cardiology, as well as multiple clinical ancillary services.
The physician and provider relations liaison:
Develops relationships through face-to-face visits with physicians, schedulers, practice managers and medical staff. The liaison will work to ensure understanding of health system services and work to uncover and minimize obstacles.
Coordinates meetings between physicians to improve communications and build relationships.
In collaboration with the physician and provider relations manager, evaluates, analyzes and interprets market data for Tidelands Health services.
Executes strategic plans; tracks activities using provider relationship management software (Salesforce); and reports on activities and issues.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication, business administration or health care administration required.
Experience/Qualifications: Minimum five years’ experience as a physician relations liaison. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Special Skills: The right person for this role will be familiar with health system operations, language and roles and will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships through effective communication. He or she must be able to analyze data and develop strategic, targeted action plans from that analysis. Multitasking ability and confidence working independently are essential.
